GIS Unipoints is a complete package containing everything you need to set up a smartcard based scheme in a closed community such as a business, club, educational establishment, or other institution. Unipoints smartcards can carry value, loyalty points, and vouchers together with identification information and any other key information that the scheme may need to record.

The Unipoints starter system consists of a TX3 handheld smartcard reader, a POST counter-mounted smartcard terminal, Unipoints manager software, and a selection of preformatted smartcards.

The TX3 reader is a convenient handheld calculator style smartcard reader which allows a sales person to transfer value, loyalty points and vouchers between a merchant card and a customer's consumer card.

The POST (Point Of Sale Terminal) is a secure smartcard terminal which can be mounted on a counter or worktop and is ideal for fixed point of sale applications such as shops, bars or vending machines.

GIS commissioned Human-Computer Interface to design marketing literature and a Web site for the Unipoints system, explaining how the system works and its potential applications.
